Reality looks different depending on where you read it from...

The first story is rarely the whole story.

The Realer World is a 78 card deck with its own companion book for the moments when an experience feels oddly clear, charged, confusing, repetitive, or strangely familiar, and you want to examine how its meaning is being made.

Someone doesn't answer your message...

Identity may decide what the silence says about you.

Perception may select one explanation and stop looking.

Emotion may shape the felt atmosphere.

Instinct may prepare pursuit, withdrawal, pleasing, or attack.

Family and culture may supply an old rule about what silence means.

Awareness may notice the entire sequence without yet knowing which interpretation is accurate.

Reality literacy offers a way to read that complexity.

A 78-Card Reality literacy deck

It belongs to The Hidden Hero’s Journey and develops Reality Literacy: the capacity to stay in contact with experience while examining the processes that give it meaning.

The deck does not ask you to decide that your first interpretation is wrong.

It asks whether it is complete.

Carefully made interruptions

Each card is an interruption to an automatic frame.

It may draw attention to a condition surrounding the inquiry, a domain in which the pattern is operating, or a function that has entered the relationship.

The card does not arrive as a command. It offers a perspective to test.

You are allowed to disagree with it. You are allowed to decide that it does not fit. That freedom is part of the practice.

Reality Literacy is weakened, not strengthened, when a symbolic tool becomes more authoritative than evidence, consent, judgement, or lived experience.

The architecture of the deck

The Realer World contains 78 cards:

✨ 9 Circle cards for the condition of the encounter

The Circle is the threshold around inquiry. Its concerns include consent, pacing, ambiguity, revision, and closure.

✨ 15 Being cards in three families:

Threshold Keepers

Inner Companions

Mythic Messengers

The Beings introduce a function or presence within the reading. They are symbolic figures, not supernatural authorities and not fixed personality types.

✨ 54 Domain cards, with 9 cards across each of six Domains of the Hidden Hero’s Journey

House: identity

Sky: perception

Garden: emotion

Forest: instinct, procedural memory, inner parts, and pattern before language

Ocean: family, culture, history, and inheritance

Space: awareness, uncertainty, scale, silence, and return to form

Together, the reading grammar becomes:

Circle: What is the condition of this encounter?
Realm: Where may the pattern be operating?
Being: What function or presence is in relationship with it?

What the deck can reveal

The deck can help bring patterns, assumptions, frames, perspectives, and hidden influences on perception into view.

It may help you notice that an identity is organising the story.

That attention has narrowed.

That emotion is colouring time.

That a familiar protective movement began before language.

That a family or cultural rule is participating.

That greater perspective is needed, or that abstraction has gone far enough and the question must return to ordinary form.

None of this tells you what is factually true by itself.

A useful reading increases contact, choice, and the quality of the next question.

Three ways to use the Deck

✨ independently, as a reflective Reality Literacy practice. It comes with a companion book, for the fuller architecture and reading guidance

✨ alongside a Sensual Hero’s Journey title, to examine the frames surrounding body, feeling, desire, boundary, and relationship

✨ alongside a Creative Hero’s Journey title, to examine the patterns shaping possibility, permission, and capacity

The aim is not to keep drawing until a card grants permission.

It is to interrupt repetition long enough for more reality to enter.

The deck is for reflection.

It does not make reality less mysterious.

It makes our participation in meaning making more visible.

What the deck is Not

The Realer World is not predictive and it is not a divination system.

The deck cannot:

✨ tell the future
✨ determine another person’s thoughts, motives, feelings, or future behaviour
✨ establish that a recovered memory is accurate
✨ diagnose a psychological or medical condition
✨ prove an ancestral, paranormal, or conspiratorial claim
✨ turn a bodily response or symbolic connection into evidence of cause
✨ replace professional medical, psychological, legal, financial, or emergency support

Released December 2026

The Deck will be released into the wild in time for Xmas!
