The capacity to notice pleasure, receive it without immediately performing around it, and recognise the difference between satisfaction, relief, intensity and the urge for more.
Pleasure & nervous-system regulation is the capacity to notice what feels good without making pleasure either trivial or compulsory.
Pleasure can soften effort, widen attention and make contact with the present easier. It can also be chased, performed or used to escape. The useful question is not whether pleasure is “healthy.” It is what the experience is doing in this particular moment.
Did the pleasure leave you more here?
This capacity includes pleasure discernment, receiving without performance, satisfaction tracking and enoughness recognition. It asks whether enjoyment can register fully enough that you do not have to rush past it or immediately demand the next dose.
