The capacity to stay available as intensity, opportunity, responsibility or complexity increases, without equating expansion with endless output.
Capacity & expansion is the ability to remain involved when life becomes larger, busier, more visible or more demanding than the version you already know how to manage.
Expansion can be pleasurable and destabilising at the same time. More opportunity can mean more exposure. More love can mean more to lose. More success can mean more responsibility.
This capacity includes response flexibility, ambivalence capacity, expansion tolerance and receiving success. It is not a demand to endure infinite pressure. It includes recognising when support, pacing or a changed structure is required.
