Shadow & hidden patterns is the capacity to become curious about what is difficult to see from inside your usual self-description.
Some patterns are hidden because they are automatic. Some because they are uncomfortable. Some because another explanation has been repeated for so long that alternatives barely register.
This capacity includes memory disentangling and pattern interruption. It does not mean assuming every reaction contains a buried secret. It means noticing repetition, checking context and allowing previously excluded information into the picture.
