About this journey
You want the work to succeed. You also want a life you can enjoy living.
The book finds readers. The offer attracts interest. Someone wants to collaborate. Then come the replies, decisions and expectations. You remember when nobody was asking, and saying no can feel strangely ungrateful. Or you withdraw just when the work begins to reach people.
What If It Works? is an illustrated guided creative immersion in the Realm of Capacity, part of I AWAKE's The Creative Hero’s Journey. Across nine chapters, you explore what could support both your creation and the person living with its demands.
Bring an actual project: a book, offer, design, performance, community project or business decision. You can consider what growth needs before demand becomes difficult. An established business is not a prerequisite.
Reading, guided writing, creative exercises and body-based practices give you room to examine practical arrangements and your responses to them:
- What an opportunity asks of you after the excitement of being asked.
- Where gratitude becomes a promise you have not checked you can keep.
- The systems, skills, money, collaboration and boundaries the work may need.
- What makes receiving help or allowing someone else's method difficult.
- What praise, criticism and silence tell you about the work, and what remains unknown.
The Circle, a guided imaginal encounter, brings image, sensation and relationship into this exploration. You might imagine accepting support and notice the urge to prove you never needed it. Then you return to a practical choice: an agreement, a request for help, a schedule or the way you finish a working day.
Move through the chapters at your own pace, staying with the same project so you can notice what changes. Your ambition can include reach, income, contribution and an enjoyable life. Give thought to the support that could make room for all of them.
