Movement is a change in bodily position or action, from a small shift of a hand to walking, dancing or making something.
It doesn’t have to be exercise. It doesn’t have to be visible to anyone else. A tiny change can be enough to notice a difference in effort, comfort or expression.
You can explore without performing.
A practice invites a gesture. You choose a smaller version, remain seated or notice the beginning of the movement instead.
The relevant question is what is available and meaningful for you, not whether your body reproduces a model shape.
I AWAKE uses movement alongside writing, voice, sensation and imagination where the book indicates. It is one way to participate in an experience rather than only explain it.
You may notice that a spoken sentence feels different when you stop bracing. You may simply discover a more comfortable position. Neither needs a dramatic interpretation to matter.
Gesture looks at movement as expression. Kinesthesia names the felt sense of moving, while pacing keeps choice inside the exploration.
