Failure is scary

Success has logistics

They said yes

Now the idea wants a place in your life

The work sells. The proposal is accepted. People want more. Someone offers help. Your name travels farther than you expected.

Wonderful. Now come the hours, decisions and expectations – and the question of how much of you is included in every yes.

What If It Works? is an illustrated, guided Creative Immersion in Capacity, part of The Creative Hero’s Journey by Camilla Wellton. It explores what your creation and your life need when the possibility starts becoming real.

You prepared for rejection. This book makes room for the other answer.

Success needs somewhere to go

Not just more of you

Into your calendar, your relationships, your responsibilities and the way you work. Into your ability to receive help and stop before every evening belongs to the project.

Sometimes what gets called fear of success is much more practical. The opportunity arrived before the arrangements needed to live with it.

And sometimes the arrangement is possible, but receiving it feels surprisingly uncomfortable. Help feels like a debt. A limit feels ungrateful. Delegating means tolerating a method that differs from yours.

The book makes room for both the practical question and your response to it.

Make room for the yes

Short teachings lead into written practices, my recorded guidance and original music, physical exploration, reflection and occasional drawing. You work with real situations rather than simply agreeing that balance would be nice.

The larger fee. The full room. Somebody handling a task without you. The afternoon you do not immediately fill.

The Circle, I AWAKE’s guided imaginal encounter, offers another way to explore what receiving, visibility and responsibility bring up.

Then you consider what changes in the calendar, agreement, request or working day.

My voice and music composed especially for the I AWAKE universe accompany the practices. The scripts use a deliberate pace, pauses and sequence designed to help your nervous system settle, with room to notice your own response.

Your calendar is not
The whole story

Why ask for help and then take the task back? Why turn a wanted opportunity into a promise to deliver more than anyone requested? What happens when resting no longer feels like something you have to earn?

The book introduces essential nervous-system knowledge and draws on psychological research, including interoception – noticing signals from inside your body – and attachment patterns, alongside questions of stress and recovery.

The teaching stays close to ordinary life. You explore a response without assuming every practical problem is psychological, or that understanding a pattern will supply the missing time, money or help.

Keep the ambition

Change what has to hold it

Growth may call for clearer terms, a different rhythm, another person’s help or a scale you choose deliberately. It does not automatically call for a smaller dream or a more exhausted version of you.

The practices connect what you notice to a concrete adjustment: define what the offer includes, ask for support, leave recovery time or make a decision about what you are not taking on.

The question is not how much more you can endure.

It is what would let you enjoy living with the success you actually want.

One real creation

Nine chapters of making room

Carry a real creation or opportunity through nine chapters. A book, a business, a workshop or a growing responsibility can all give the questions somewhere to land.

Teaching, written practice and my recorded guidance and original music let you explore what receiving more would ask of your work and your life.

There is no nine-day deadline. Take the time needed to test a practical adjustment, notice what changes and return with better questions.

Notice the cost of the yes
Before you agree to everything

What an opportunity asks of you after the excitement of being asked.

Where gratitude becomes a promise you have not checked you can keep.

Which agreements, support and limits could let you enjoy the work instead of only keep up with it.

Success does not have to mean accepting every invitation or growing indefinitely.

The useful change may be more support, a clearer boundary or a different definition of enough. You get to consider what the work is for, not only how to make it bigger.

For the opportunity you wanted
And the life you want to keep

People want what you make and you are not sure how much more of your life you want to give it.

You need help but keep finding reasons nobody else can do it.

You add work before anyone asks, or pull away when contact becomes real.

You want the creation to grow without consuming the person who made it.

More room to receive

Less need to prove

You may over-deliver, hold tightly to every detail or become suspicious of the support you asked for. Those responses deserve attention, not a permanent label.

The book makes room for different histories and circumstances. You do not have to become effortlessly receptive. You can begin by noticing what one actual offer of help brings up.

Practise receiving help

Without taking the task back

Someone does the task without you. An afternoon remains unbooked. You accept a fair fee without quietly adding more work to make yourself comfortable.

The guided practices bring these moments close enough to explore. What do you notice? What agreement or support would make the situation workable in real life?

Capacity is not an impressive theory here. It is something you begin making room for.

A few good questions

Before you decide

No. A book, a workshop, a community project or an unpaid creative contribution can also bring attention and responsibility. You can consider what growth needs before demand becomes difficult.

Read short teachings, follow written exercises and recorded practices with my voice and original music, reflect, explore physical responses and sometimes draw. You connect the experience to real situations involving visibility, responsibility, support and growth, then consider a practical adjustment.

Yes. You can explore what a wanted opportunity might ask of your time, relationships and support before demand becomes difficult. You do not need a full calendar or a successful launch to consider what would make success liveable.

It does not simply ask you to get more done. It explores what the work requires, what you want it to make possible and what happens when help, attention or responsibility arrive. A useful result may be a clearer agreement or a deliberate limit, not greater output.

Your ambition is allowed to include reach, income, contribution and an enjoyable life. Sometimes the next stage needs more help and clearer terms, not a smaller dream or another sacrifice.

The book explores your responses to receiving, visibility and responsibility alongside the practical demands. Interoception and attachment patterns inform that exploration. A difficult response does not prove you fear success, and reflection is not a substitute for missing time, money or support.

No. The teachings introduce essential ideas in relatable language and connect them to ordinary situations. You are learning to notice and use information, not studying for a neuroscience exam.

The drawing is exploratory, not an art test. Rough marks and words can be useful. Guided imagination is another way to explore an experience, not a demand for vivid pictures or a particular emotional response.

The book’s accompanying material has its own access route. Aurora and the Practice Library are separate offerings; they are not additional purchases required to use material included with your book.

No. The chapters give the immersion its structure, not a daily deadline. You can take time to try an adjustment, have a conversation or notice what receiving support changes before moving on.

No. It is a research-informed educational and creative experience, not diagnosis or treatment. It can accompany reflection about work and life, but it does not replace appropriate professional care or establish a guaranteed clinical outcome.

Publication is currently scheduled for 30 June 2027. The form invites you to receive eight weekly practice emails and updates about the book, including a sample or preorder invitation when available. I look forward to receiving emails.

Meet Aurora
The optional practice partner

Aurora is the I AWAKE practice partner being developed around the books and your own questions.

Perhaps a passage about asking for care sounds unexpectedly like the problem you have asking a collaborator for help. Perhaps two books seem to be meeting the same concern from different directions.

Her intended role is to help you explore those connections, work with the material you’ve chosen and consider a next step that fits what you bring. She isn’t there to assign you one path or tell you who you are.

Availability and access are explained with the current offering. You can use your book and its accompanying guidance and music without waiting for Aurora.

Your question can cross
More than one journey

A guided seven-day book such as I Want It All from the Sensual Hero’s Journey can sit beside this immersion when you want to explore what success is supposed to let you feel. The deck of the Hidden Hero’s Journey can give a decision a different angle.

The Three Hero Journeys of the I AWAKE universe connect because your life does. You can read across them.
