It supplies enough structure that you don’t have to invent everything at once. It doesn’t supply your response.

There is no model answer for being you.

A question may bring a sentence, a sensation, a memory or not much at first. You can notice that without manufacturing something profound to justify the time.

In I AWAKE, different practices use writing, bodily attention, imagination, movement or voice. The book explains what to do and where the practice belongs. You decide how to participate, when to pause and what needs more support.

A useful experience isn’t necessarily the most intense one. It may be the first time you let a preference stay on the page without explaining why it shouldn’t matter.

Guided audio explains how a recording can lead the practice. Pacing considers enough room to participate, rather than another task to complete at any cost.
