What if you could feel deeply and see more clearly?
Hello darling. Someone hasn't answered your message. You read it again. Perhaps you begin composing another one, become very busy, or decide you shouldn't have cared so much in the first place.
The silence is real. So is what happens in you. But what has the silence actually told you?
Your feeling, the explanation that arrived with it, and the facts of the situation can become so closely woven that they seem like one thing. I created Reality Revealed to help you stay with the experience while finding the threads. To give what you feel its proper place, and give what you conclude a little more room.
Because there is a considerable difference between understanding yourself beautifully and being able to recognise what is happening while your life is happening.
Meet the card. Explore what it opens in you.
Reality Revealed: The Reality Literacy Deck brings together 78 illustrated cards, an illustrated 444-page companion book and a course with a ritual for every card. It belongs to The Hidden Hero’s Journey™ within the I AWAKE universe.
A card can give words to something you have felt for years without knowing how to describe it. The book opens the image and its particular meaning. The ritual gives you a direct experiential entry into the aspect of yourself the card describes, so the encounter can reach beyond understanding a sentence.
On the I AWAKE course platform, 78 lessons are arranged across ten modules, one for each suit or family and one lesson for each card. Each lesson brings its card into a ritual and further exploration. You can begin with the card that meets today's question, then return when another part of its meaning becomes relevant.
The image stays the same. You don't have to.
Your body belongs in the conversation
As you explore a card, notice what you think, what you feel and what happens physically. You may hold your breath while reading about a boundary, feel an impulse to leave, or realise how quickly you become agreeable. You may also notice very little in your body and have a clear thought or an actual conversation to work with. Begin where the encounter becomes recognisable.
You give the response words, place it beside the situation and examine the meaning you have given it. A sensation can bring something important into view. Its meaning becomes clearer through attention to the circumstances, not through declaring that the body has already delivered the answer.
Family and culture belong here too. A reaction may carry an old rule about being useful, acceptable or loyal. It may also be responding to a genuinely difficult arrangement now. I want both to remain visible, so understanding yourself doesn't become another way to blame yourself for conditions you didn't create.
Human capacities you can practise
Reality Literacy is the capacity to remain close to your experience while examining how it becomes a picture of reality. Through the cards, reading and rituals, you practise ways of attending, distinguishing and responding that you can take into an ordinary day:
- Perceptual discernment. Separate what happened from what you inferred, and notice what your first explanation left out.
- Emotional differentiation. Give a feeling more precise language, and explore the conditions in which it grows, withdraws or changes.
- Bodily awareness. Notice sensation and impulse without making either carry the whole meaning of a situation.
- Recognition of learned responses. Follow the first cue in a familiar sequence, rather than meeting the same ending and wondering how you got there again.
- Relational judgment. Examine access, boundaries, consent and help while preserving your own choice and the other person's agency.
- Contextual understanding. Keep family, culture, resources and social conditions beside the personal story.
- Perspective and uncertainty. Consider another account, notice what remains unknown and resist closing the question too early.
- Integration. Give an insight an actual expression: a question asked, an agreement reconsidered, information checked or a response chosen with more care.
These capacities matter when a conversation tightens, when desire meets a familiar prohibition, when you are exhausted but still performing competence, or when a decision asks more of you than another explanation can provide.
Ten groups, three layers of inquiry
The 78 cards form an architecture you can enter through one image. You don't need to memorise it before beginning. Circle concerns how you approach the inquiry. Six realms attend to different aspects of experience. Three families of Beings give human functions a face you can meet and question.
- Circle. Nine cards for entering, pausing, crossing, revising and closing. Sometimes the useful act is to proceed; sometimes it is to wait or draw a line.
- House. Identity and its structures: the roles, stories, rooms and relationships through which you have learned who you are.
- Sky. Perception, attention, thought and interpretation: what you see, what you select and what you add.
- Garden. Personal emotion and its conditions: what is nourished, protected, depleted, ending or beginning.
- Forest. Instinct, learned responses, parts and procedural memory, the learning expressed in what you do before consciously recalling each step.
- Ocean. Family, culture, history, inheritance and collective conditions: the larger currents participating in an individual life.
- Space. Awareness, uncertainty, scale and silence, with a return from the wider view to something you can actually do.
- Threshold Keepers. Five Beings around crossings and endings, where readiness, consent, help and departure deserve attention.
- Inner Companions. Five Beings giving a face to recurring strategies, needs and forms of aliveness within you.
- Mythic Messengers. Five Beings that enlarge a pattern so its power, danger, beauty and contradiction become easier to examine.
Each realm contains nine cards. Each Being is a symbolic encounter with a function, not a fixed personality assigned to you. You can use one card, bring several together or follow the book's suggested reading structures. The architecture supports your inquiry; it doesn't require your experience to fit every image.
A different conversation from tarot
If you love Rider–Waite–Smith or Thoth, you will recognise the pleasure of entering a symbolic world through a card. Rider–Waite–Smith offers richly suggestive human scenes. Thoth makes an interconnected esoteric language especially explicit. Both traditions can sustain reflective, psychological and spiritual inquiry.
Reality Revealed shares the act of drawing and combining 78 cards, but arranges them differently. Its Circle, realms and Beings distinguish how an inquiry is proceeding, where an experience may be taking shape and which human function is involved. These are not renamed Major Arcana, suits and court cards.
Its particular emphasis is the making of meaning itself. What made that detail matter? What turned a response into a verdict about your worth? Which explanation are you placing around a feeling? What would make the account fuller?
A thoughtful tarot reader can ask these questions too. In Reality Revealed, they are built into the architecture and the individual card descriptions. You can enjoy the force of an image and still ask what it helps you see, what it leaves out and how it meets the circumstances of your life.
Take the encounter back into your day
Read a card on your own. Bring it into a conversation. Use it alongside The Sensual Hero’s Journey™ to explore body, feeling, desire, boundaries and relationship, or alongside The Creative Hero’s Journey™ to examine the patterns shaping possibility, permission and capacity.
When the same card appears again, return to its lesson with another question. Something you once read as resistance may now ask about timing. Something you called independence may ask whether help has become available. The value of the return is what you can now notice and choose.
You remain the person who knows the situation, asks the question and makes the decision. A useful reading brings you back with more to work with: a clearer distinction, an unanswered question worth keeping, or an act that fits what you actually know.
