You knew what you wanted
Then everyone got a vote

The sentence was clear
Before the imaginary committee arrived
You softened the sentence. Added an explanation. Lowered the price. Changed ‘I will’ into ‘I was thinking maybe’.
Now the message is lovely. It no longer quite says what you meant.
I’m Done Asking is an illustrated, guided Creative Immersion in Permission, part of The Creative Hero’s Journey by Camilla Wellton. It explores the gap between knowing what you want to make and allowing yourself to choose it.
Not by becoming louder. By letting your own decision count.

Good advice improves the work
Permission keeps it waiting
A reader can show you where they lost the thread. A collaborator can notice what you missed. Someone with experience can save you an avoidable mistake.
Useful feedback deserves a place in the work.

But no opinion can promise that choosing will leave you entirely free of criticism or misunderstanding.
When reassurance becomes the requirement, there is always one more person to ask. The book helps you explore when listening becomes quietly handing over the decision.

A book to practise with
Not another pep talk
Short teachings lead into written exercises, my recorded guidance and original music, physical practices, reflection and occasional drawing. You do not have to turn a motivational sentence into a method on your own.
You work with recognisable situations: protecting time, sharing a draft, asking for useful feedback, naming a price or letting a clear sentence remain clear.
The Circle, I AWAKE’s guided imaginal encounter, brings another way to explore the response before you take a step in real life.
Read, listen, try, notice. Then let the practice reach the work.
My voice and music composed especially for the I AWAKE universe accompany the practices. The scripts use a deliberate pace, pauses and sequence designed to help your nervous system settle, with room to notice your own response.

Knowing is one thing
Pressing Send is another
You can tell yourself you do not need everyone’s approval and still hold your breath before pressing Send. That gap deserves more than another instruction to be confident.
The book introduces essential nervous-system knowledge and draws on psychological research, including interoception – noticing signals from inside your body – and attachment patterns.
The ideas are translated into ordinary moments: explaining before anyone objects, confusing disagreement with rejection or changing your mind before hearing new information. You explore the response without treating it as an order or a diagnosis.

Name the price
Send the sentence
Keep your decision
An hour you protect. An offer that says what it includes. A request you make without immediately softening it. One reader who meets the version you actually meant to share.
The practices help you notice the rush to justify, the urge to make everyone comfortable or the sudden need for more research.
Then you choose a next step that serves the project. You can consider feedback without asking it to remove every risk.
The aim is not fearlessness. It is authorship.

Your actual work
Nine chapters of choosing
Bring a real piece of work through nine chapters: a draft, an offer, a performance, a decision or the time you keep giving away.
Reading, written practice and my recorded guidance and original music let you meet the question in different ways. What changes when useful input remains welcome but universal approval is no longer the entry requirement?
Work at your own pace. The chapters are an arc, not a nine-day test of whether you are brave enough.
Listen to Camilla
Guiding a practice

Notice where your decision
Leaves your hands
When a useful revision becomes another way to postpone being seen.
Whose feedback helps the work and whose imagined reaction edits it before anybody reads it.
What your own choice needs in the week: time, a clear request or a limit you keep.

You can listen. You can reconsider. You can also decide.
A different response may be as ordinary as leaving the price where it is, sending the version you mean or allowing someone to disagree without immediately rewriting yourself.
For the work
Waiting for one more opinion

You revise around objections nobody has made yet.
You are qualified to enter the room but still wait to feel invited.
Your project gets the time left over after you have been useful to everyone else.
You want to show the work without turning yourself into somebody harder.

You can stay thoughtful
And still choose
Care, collaboration and belonging do not have to disappear because you make a choice.
You may hesitate, over-explain, withdraw or become very accommodating. The book makes room for those responses without deciding they are who you are. You are exploring another option, not auditioning for a fearless personality.

Practise the moment
Before it becomes an apology
Imagine sending the sentence without its apology. Naming the price and allowing a pause. Keeping the morning you said belonged to the project.
The written exercises and my recorded guidance lets you explore what happens before the familiar explanation arrives. Then you decide what is appropriate in the actual situation.
The practice is not finished because a sentence in the book sounds convincing. It has a life beyond the page.

Voices from the wider
I AWAKE experience
I’m on day 6 and truly loving the journey. I Awake is something you don’t just consume.
You feel it working with you, day by day. Deeply nourishing, intelligently crafted, and genuinely transformative.
Camilla is an absolute genius and it’s difficult to comprehend how one person can curate such an immersive healing, somatic and spiritual experience that will bypass your conscious mind.
I am beyond grateful for receiving the keys to finally start the healing of especially my mother wound that I was not really aware of and how it affected all my relationships especially the romantic ones.
it’s an entire system that gently yet powerfully works on you from the inside out.
The way Camilla writes, the words she chooses, and the questions she asks are all held at an incredibly high quality. They truly make you pause, reflect, and go deeper.
The questions, combined with the space to listen inward, brought up answers that honestly felt equivalent to many hours of therapy 😄❤️
It’s profound without being heavy, and supportive without ever feeling forced.
If you tried with therapy, meditation & other things to heal or understand yourself & it didn’t worked this journal is for you.
I awake helps you to take off your mask you’ve worn to protect yourself, helping you to release others burden you’ve had on your shoulder that’s not yours.
Completely life changing for me. I felt that you need a few days to process each chapter at least, rather than doing one chapter a day.
It’s a lot to process and it opens you up softly but powerfully.
Pure magic and bliss! 🙏🏽❤️

A few good questions
Before you decide
No. Expertise, collaboration and good feedback still matter. The question is what you are asking them to do. Improve the creation, or remove the uncertainty of being the person who chooses?
Read concise teaching, follow written exercises and recorded practices with my voice and original music, reflect, explore physical responses and sometimes draw. You bring actual moments of choosing, asking or sharing, so the experience connects to your work rather than remaining a reassuring idea.
No. Permission shows up in a proposal, an offer, a business decision, a public voice and the time you protect for something that matters. You do not need to be an artist or have a finished project.
It does not ask you to talk yourself into feeling fearless. Teaching and guided practice help you explore what happens around a real decision, then consider another response. The aim is a choice you can act on, not a permanently confident mood.
No. Protecting time, making a decision and allowing a first attempt all happen before a public launch. The next useful step may involve one trusted reader, not an audience.
The book explores the place of approval, belonging and relationship in choosing and being seen. Attachment patterns are one research area informing that exploration, not a label that explains everything about you or a reason to ignore the actual people and circumstances involved.
No. Ideas such as interoception, or noticing signals from inside the body, are introduced through recognisable situations. You learn language you can use without needing to become an amateur psychologist.
Drawing is an exploratory option, not an artistic test. Rough marks, words and what you notice can be useful. Guided imagination is not a competition to produce vivid pictures. There is no perfect reader response you have to perform.
The book’s accompanying material has its own access route. Aurora and the Practice Library are separate offerings; they are not additional purchases required to use material included with your book.
Use Reader Access for the access instructions attached to your edition.
No. The nine chapters provide a structure, not a daily deadline. Give the practices time to reach the decisions and conversations outside the book. You can return to a chapter when it meets the situation you are in.
No. It is a research-informed educational and creative experience, not diagnosis or treatment. The psychological material supports the practices; it is not a promise of clinical results. Professional support remains a separate matter.
Publication is currently scheduled for 30 June 2027. The form invites you to receive eight weekly practice emails and updates about the book, including its sample or preorder invitation when available. I look forward to receiving emails.

Meet Aurora
The optional practice partner
Aurora is the I AWAKE practice partner being developed around the books and your own questions.
Perhaps a passage about asking for care sounds unexpectedly like the problem you have asking a collaborator for help. Perhaps two books seem to be meeting the same concern from different directions.
Her intended role is to help you explore those connections, work with the material you’ve chosen and consider a next step that fits what you bring. She isn’t there to assign you one path or tell you who you are.

Availability and access are explained with the current offering. You can use your book and its accompanying guidance and music without waiting for Aurora.

Your question can cross
More than one journey
Read it alongside a guided seven-day book of the Sensual Hero’s Journey when the same difficulty appears in care, need or approval. Bring the deck of the Hidden Hero’s Journey to a question that wants another perspective.
Aurora is being developed to help readers explore connections between their chosen material and their lives. Your selection doesn’t need to stay inside one series.

Let them meet
What you actually mean
The next step does not have to settle your worth or your future. It has to give the work a chance to be met, answered and developed.
You can remain its author while the world has a say.
