The Being cards are the symbolic figures in the deck of the Hidden Hero’s Journey, one of the Three Hero Journeys of the I AWAKE universe.
The Hidden Hero’s Journey explores the less obvious influences shaping experience. Its Beings give human functions a face: the part that guards, longs, refuses, reflects or wants to come alive.
You can argue with a label. You can meet a figure.
"I’m resistant" can sound like the end of the conversation. An imagined guard invites other questions. What is being protected? What would make an approach possible? What is the guard afraid will happen without it?
The figure doesn’t tell you what to conclude. It makes the relationship with the response more particular.
The deck has three families of Beings: Threshold Keepers, Inner Companions and Mythic Messengers. The companion book introduces them and guides their use alongside the Circle cards and the six domains.
Circle cards attend to the conditions of an exploration. Symbol explains how an image can help you recognise something without becoming an outside authority over your life.
